Where is my data stored?
On your phone. Dogear has no accounts and no server-side journal — the people you add, notes, gift ideas, and dates all live on your device. See the Privacy policy for the full picture.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
On the old device, go to Settings → Backup → Export and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new device (iCloud Drive, Files, or another location). On the new device, install Dogear and use Settings → Backup → Restore to bring your journal across.
How do I save a gift or idea from another app?
Use the share button in any app (Safari, Instagram, Amazon, a message thread) and choose Save to Dogear. Pick whether it's a gift or an idea, and whether it's for someone specific or for you.
